Sunny Randhawa joined Navigato & Battin as an associate in 2020. Mr. Randhawa represents the firm’s clients in a wide variety of litigation and transactional matters, including advice and assistance on wage and hour and other employment-related litigation, Americans with Disability Act claims, and misappropriation of trade secret claims. Mr. Randhawa also advises on appropriate entity selection, handles business formation for businesses, and addresses business clients’ internal needs, such as drafting shareholder agreements, operating agreements, buy-sell agreements, and contracts for business clients to use in their relationships with third parties such as vendors, landlords, and employees. Integral to Mr. Randhawa’s practice is a commitment to determine each client’s needs and to provide personalized service to meet those needs effectively and efficiently. Mr. Randhawa has owned and operated several profitable businesses and understands the importance of balancing a client’s practical business realities with sound legal approaches to best achieve each client’s goals.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Randhawa served as a Judicial Law Clerk for The Honorable Karen S. Crawford, in the United States Federal District Court for the Southern District of California. Mr. Randhawa similarly served as an extern for The Honorable Margaret M. Mann in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of California. Mr. Randhawa also worked as a Certified Legal Intern at the United States Attorney’s Office (Civil Division), for the Southern District of California. In addition to his experience in the federal courts, Mr. Randhawa served as a judicial extern for The Honorable Richard L. Strauss in the San Diego Superior Court Hall of Justice, Central District. Mr. Randhawa served as a legal intern at the Employee Rights Center in San Diego, California. Mr. Randhawa attended California Western School of Law (CWSL), where he completed a specialized Area of Concentration in Business Law, graduating with Honors. There, he was a member of CWSL’s Business Law and Pro Bono Honors Society. At CWSL, Mr. Randhawa was a recipient of several awards, including Academic Excellence, Dean’s Honor List recognition and the Distinguished Advocated Award. Mr. Randhawa was also a member of CWSL’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Travel Team.
